Privacy Policy

The short version: GEEKED OUT has no accounts, no analytics and no ads. We don't collect, store, share or sell your personal data. Your photos, videos and music are worked on on your iPhone and are never sent to us.

Who we are

GEEKED OUT ("GEEKED OUT", "we", "us") is an iPhone app designed and built by Joseph Rochlin (Jöí Fabü). Questions about this policy: support@geekedout.app.

Information we collect

None. GEEKED OUT does not collect your name, email, contacts, location, device identifiers or usage analytics, and contains no advertising or third-party tracking code. The app doesn't send your content or how you use it to us: we don't run any servers for it.

Your photos, videos and music

Everything GEEKED OUT does to your media, from compressing and converting to captioning, mastering, upscaling and making music videos, happens on your iPhone.

• Photos access. With your permission, GEEKED OUT opens the photos and videos you choose. To list your biggest files first, Cut the weight measures the size of the items in your library, on your iPhone.
• Saving. What you make is saved to Photos in a GEEKED OUT album. When a new version replaces an original, GEEKED OUT copies the original's location, favorite status and albums onto it, and its date too, so it sits right beside the original. If you choose At the top, as newest in the app's Settings, the new version is dated now instead, so it appears first in Recents. Live Photos stay Live Photos. In Flip the file you can choose to remove location or all photo info instead.

  Stored on your iPhone

  • Your Library: the things you make, so you can open and share them again.
  • Your settings: appearance and each tool's last choices.
  • A list of file sizes, so Cut the weight opens instantly next time.

  None of this is sent to us, and all of it is removed when you delete GEEKED OUT.

  Sharing

  When you tap Share, what you've made goes only where you choose, such as Messages, Files or another app, and that service's own privacy policy applies.

  Audio masters are saved where you choose in the Files app. When you share your Lifetime poster or video, it's made on your iPhone, and the caption is copied to your clipboard only when you tap Share.

  Purchases

  Subscriptions and Lifetime purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details. Apple gives GEEKED OUT a record of your purchase so the app can confirm Pro on your iPhone, as described in Apple's Privacy Policy.

  Children

  GEEKED OUT is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

  Your choices

  Change GEEKED OUT's access any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos or Speech Recognition. Delete anything in the Library by pressing and holding it. Deleting the app removes everything it stored.

  Changes to this policy

  If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its effective date. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
